Yes! Generally, it is recommended that you get a rope length that is roughly 1.5x your height. See product page for our sizing chart.Click here*Please note, if you are an advanced jumper, it is recommended that you size down.
Nope! That's the beauty of ResistaRope! No need to juggle (or detangle!) multiple pieces of equipment in order to achieve both your cardio and resistance training needs. Instead, ResistaRope offers a 2-in-1, quick transition handle that allows you to convert it from a Jump Rope Handle to a Resistance Band handle.
When in a resistance mode, for more resistance you simply need to cinch up or create a bigger anchor loop (as we like to call it).View Tutorials
WHEN JUMPING: While the three size options (short, medium, & long) are generally suitable for the recommended heights for each length, Founder, Kristen Lunetta, totally gets wanting to fully personalize your rope. If choking up or down on the handles doesn't give you the ideal length when jumping, in order to incrementally adjust the length of the rope, simply tie a knot on either side or both sides of the rope closest to the handle. Kristen prefers a figure 8 knot so that it is easier to remove after resistance exercises. This is not necessary, as the rope and resistance will perform as anticipated regardless, but she tends to switch up between barefoot training days, outdoors sessions with shoes, and different skips any given day that sometimes require a slightly longer or shorter rope during her jump revolutions.
DURING RESISTANCE TRAINING: When using the rope for resistance exercises, there are various ways you can anchor the rope and adjust the tension. If solely using your body, simply create a loop on the ground and step on either side of the rope. The bigger the loop, the greater the tension. If anchoring to a post, pole, or door hinge, you can simply step farther way from that anchor point or double loop it around. Be sure to take advantage of the rope release under the metal jacket located on the end of each handle (SEE TUTORIALS PAGE) in order to make snaking it through a door hinge or tight access point even easier. Simply reattach the handle thereafter, and get after that strength!
The coil is a protective measure so that the material on the rope doesn't wear out during use on rougher surfaces; including, bricks, concrete, gravel, etc. Feel free to remove or return depending on the surface you are using. View Tutorials

Just like you would a traditional tubular rubber resistance band, but better! With both and when you need more resistance, you either create an anchor loop to shorten it or anchor it onto a door hinge or pole and step farther away from it. The reverse is true for less tension. The benefits of ResistaRope is it is more durable and won't snap back at you like a rubber band. ;)
Technically, yes! Most jump ropes are less than a 1/4lb. Traditional weighted ropes often weigh a pound or more. ResistaRope weighs a 1/2lb - the perfect middle for getting a good workout in without overdoing it for more frequent weekly workouts or longer duration jumps.
2 x Quick Transition, 2-in-1 Handles
1 x Jump Rope/Resistance Band (one in the same!) With Protective Coil Sleeve
1 x Nylon, Easy Carry, Compact Drawstring Bag
